Welcome to my Website.

I was born 1957 in Wilhelmshaven, a small city in the north of Germany at the north sea.

After school and podiatry I studied computer science in Hamburg.

I'm licensed as DB7BN since 1975.

From 1982 onwards I worked as an IT-Analyst and System-Administrator – specialized at communication (email, Internet, Intranet). My last position was as Senior IT Manager in Infrastructure Operations for a Japanese company in Hamburg. I retired in July 2023.

I'm married and have a son, who was born in 1989.

Now we live in a very small village, named Neuendeich, 35 km north west from Hamburg, direct at the river Elbe.

My ham radio interests are:

  • build and test new equipment and antennas
  • DXing and contesting
  • Software Defined Radio (SDR)

I also like to ride bicycle, seek Geocaches and play chess.
